Well that genius and ruler of the free world George W Bush has done it again. This time he has given the go ahead to open over 3 MILLION acres of pristine Alaskan forest to logging. What is worse is this land had previouasly been protected under Clintons roadless rule provision.

Bush's excuse? It will bolster Alaskas rocky economy. Many were quick to point out though that logging only makes up 1% of its economy...unbelievable.

This absoloutly disgusts me, Bush just knows no bounds. What do you think about this?

The Bush administration, in opening the pristine Alaskan forest to logging also opens it to many problems. There apparently was not consideration of the prior roadless provision. Can this be the first inroads into the area? Will other special interest groups then follow along with stating that the roads are there so things like going after oil won't really impact the area beyond what is already done. What were the criterial, in total, for the decision?

Wow, that's crazy. I cannot believe he would just change his mind after so long and plus to ruin the natural forest for something like that is plain stupidety.

Hopefully someone knocks him to his senses before it goes along with the plans that have just been recently made.
